2024年4月17日 · Jack Roschman opened the first location in Springfield, Ohio in 1967 as “JAX Roast Beef”—a pun on his name—before quickly selling it to a spinoff of Post Cereals in 1967, whose leadership renamed the brand RIX Roast Beef. RIX didn’t last long: it surged rapidly but couldn’t sustain growth, and all but a few locations closed by 1972.
