2008年10月23日 · I'm in the market for a late 1990s Pete 379, and while most of the trucks I've looked at have the Caterpillar 3406E, some have Cummins' N14 rated from 435HP and up. A lot of these seem to be the "red top" version. I understand the red valve cover is supposed to be an indication of a high-horsepower engine.
