2015年8月3日 · Refractors tend to be much more expensive than reflecting telescopes. If you're interested in DSOs, you'll probably want to grab a Dobsonian Telescope. Dobsonians give the most bang for your buck and are very simple to use. They're well rounded telescopes that will provide excellent views of all the things you listed.

The mounts of many entry level sets are far too weak (I can't stress how annoying this is, shaking will be noticable even at 20x, imagine how nerve wrecking it is to focus and track a planet at 150x!), and most kit eyepieces disappoint.

A refractors physical length must match it's focal length, which makes large telescopes very long, requiring a much larger dome to house them. Reflecting telescopes can be very compact, using space more efficiently.

I borrowed one from a friend many years ago when I was getting into the hobby and most nights were just a struggle to use the thing, leaving little observing time.

2021年1月16日 · Because they are working in reverse. Instead of gathering a lot of light and concentrating it to a small, bright image, the lenses are taking a small image and spreading it's light over a larger area and creating a dimmer image.
