2017年9月26日 · I have owned 4 380's. 3 Colts and a Ruger. Two inches at 40 feet is about what I would expect, these are not target guns. All my 380's have shot best with 0.357 or 0.358 cast bullets. Some commercial cast bullets are sized 0.355 and shoot poorly. Mike your bullets, Oregon Trail can supply bullets the correct diameter.

Check the Lyman reloading manual for full loading information with RL-7. I also have a #3 Ruger. One of the best deer hunting bullets is the Gould hollow point bullet.

pressure 45 ACP is easy to load and friendly to cast bullets. However loading high quality match ammunition with cast bullets takes extra effort. Jacketed bullets provide a useful accuracy standard The standard factory target load is a 185 grain short nose jacketed open base wadcutter at ~800 fps. It is a good load but perhaps not the best.

I went the route of making harder bullets for my AR and it worked very well with a standard size gas port and a powder that had a burning rate that maximized the peak chamber pressure in the barrel to coincide with the location of the gas port.
