2014年12月19日 · Lay the intake on the driver's side fender. Remove the generator, radiator, distributor, and oil filter. Don't take the bonnet off. That way the engine and transmission can be removed through the radiator uprights with the lift, rather than up and over. This made the removal of the engine and transmission much easier. 2015年12月27日 · Disconnect 4 bolts at rear and it pulls straight out. Drain tranny before you pull it out or several pints will come out when you tilt engine to remove.

I followed the Haynes guide for the engine removal, and it was surprisingly easy. First I drained and removed the radiator. Then I disconnected a half dozen wires and cables. I was careful to label each using a label printer as well as taking short videos with my phone.

2016年3月7日 · Disconnect the intake manifold from the engine and lay it over on the inside wing (no need to remove cables). Remove the exhaust manifold. Remove the radiator. Short couple the cherry picker/leveler and the engine, remove engine mounts.....the whole lump comes out through the radiator supports!

2021年9月14日 · If you saw my previous post, I had worked out that I had installed the clutch plate backwards. I decided that I would try to remove the engine only rather than remove it with the gearbox. The front of the car needed to be lifted to get clearance underneath and also to make it easier to get the engine out.

The black oil and fuel residue is not that easy to remove, so we used a hydraulic press to remove the gudgeon pins from pistons, placed the pistons in an ultrasonic cleaner for about 15 minutes and then used WD40 and a lot of elbow grease to clean the pistons.
