Renderware was available to other developers, as a single developer I bought a lincense in December 2000 (for exactly $1186.44). Back then it was just too lowlevel for my taste and skills but looking back from today and for what I can remember, it was really good and had a very data oriented design.

2014年12月3日 · While the stream file formats (DFF and TXD) are similar to the real RenderWare formats, they're not the same, especially since RslGeometry and RwGeometry are so different So, I was trying to convert ped from LCS Android .dff to RW .dff using lcsconv.exe ( dffconv.exe says strange things about lack of geometrylist).

2020年4月20日 · Although Rockstar used Renderware for the renderer, the rest of the engine, including mapping was completely custom so I somewhat doubt they used RW Studio to make the games. Since GTA III AFAIK it has been (or was) 3DS Max and custom Max scripts to export it to Rockstar's proprietary formats.
