Make sure that the connections to the element are clean and tight. Any corrosion/pitting/dirt is a resistance and when electrical current flows through this connection it will heat up.

2024年2月11日 · Check the heating element, it is not unheard of to get a bad replacement, should be around 10 ohms. If OK Check the operating thermostat and the hi-limit thermostats both should be 0 ohms If OK Check the thermal fuse this is the one on the heater, should be 0 ohms.

2011年2月27日 · My neighbor's Frigidaire dishwasher started leaking around the heating element contacts on the bottom. The two nuts that hold the element and gasket down were cracking and would not tighten. I replaced the nuts and the leak went away. Same deal on my Frigidaire dishwasher. It started leaking around the element contacts so I had to replace the nuts.
