May 2, 2003 · The only reference to an Etheldred Revell/Revelle serving in NC in any form of military is that of the DAR index.This index has him as being born in 1758, I believe, also.It doesn't list any documentation at all, other than family word-of-mouth.I was told that the DAR used to publish family info as "reliable," until just lately.
