2022年4月21日 · Rex's Sonic Boom is nice, but it's still very limited with the mobility it can provide. Equipment especially, like the Volcanic Egg and Milky Chrysalis can both be a big help. The Eccentric Vase tends to take too much time with the pathway it creates, so while it can work, the other two are recommended over it.

It's also good for multiplayer if you have allies with a small radius of solid AoE like Artificer. % Cooldown reduction like Alien Head or Bandolier is great since it has a long cooldown. On top of stuff in the other comments, I generally try to get bleed (tri tip dagger, shatter spleen) and fire (will o the wisp, gasoline, kjaros band) items, plus one death mark. Because his special ability inflicts 2 debuffs, you only need 2 more for death mark.

2023年11月26日 · Also if you haven't got it yet, Rex's alternate shift ability is god tier. It is a straight upgrade in every way from the original. As everyone else has said healing items are the best on Rex, for a character with a lot of self healing he needs an awful lot of healing to maximise his damage output.

Its not the best for proc builds because it lacks a sustainable attack considering rex's M1 can be hard to maintain accuracy with it's low projectile velocity. But, for enemies like dune striders, beetle queen and stone titans it can be a good build for procs.

2022年12月23日 · Rex already has two abilities that can take care of crowds (assuming you're taking the utility that damages, which you should because it heals through and beyond its own damage). And I don't ever feel like I need an aoe ability to damage enemies in tangling growth because items like gas, bleed, and wisps can do the same thing but better.
