For over two decades, Poozeum's founder, George Frandsen, embarked on an extraordinary quest to discover the largest true coprolite (fossilized poop) on Earth. His mission: to surpass the impressive 44 cm by 16 cm (17.3 in by 6.3 in) Tyrannosaurus rex coprolite housed at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.

2013年1月31日 · A new analysis of an old, large piece of dinosaur poop finds it’s possible that Tyrannosaurus rex was the source of the deposit. The scientists used smelly droppings from living wild animals to estimate the size of T. rex’s — and other dinos’ — dung. Scientists refer to fossil dung as coprolites (KAH pra leitz).
