The rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) provides Royal Australian Navy surface combatants with an over the horizon interception and boarding capability. The RHIB can seat up to 10 personnel, however the forward six seats can be removed to make room for cargo.

2019年10月16日 · Finnish boat builder Boomeranger Boats has been contracted to supply sea boats for the Royal Australian Navy’s Arafura-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV) program. Built in Caringbah, NSW, by inflatable boat builder Zodiac Milpro and maintained by Serco Australia, 55 J3 RHIBs are currently in use by the RAN.
