The srock is ugly and cheap, but the standard stock on the typhhoon was nothing special either. They all seem to ship from Turkey with bad stocks.

Threaded the barrel for Saiga-12 chokes added a modified to help back pressure. I have the original barrel I cut to 14" (Form-1 SBS) and that is nice but wanted to get another barrel to play "How short can I go?"

2023年5月1日 · The VR80 buffer tube is a Commercial dimension tube, so just about any stock for commercial buffer tubes should fit and others for mil-spec will fit lose. You can replace the buffer tube with mil-spec and add just about any flavor of stock. I used an Original Derya MK-12 stock Derya is the actual maker and it is known outside the US as the MK-12.

2021年11月18日 · I don't know if it's a internal mechanical issue with the rifle, the type of ammo I'm using or the magazine itself. I've experimented on several different types of shells (00 Buckshot, #4 Birdshot and #8 Federal) and they ALL have the same issues. The magazines themselves are NOT 3rd party - they are the official 9 rounders sold by RIA.

Most people that use the VR80 in competition say it breaks in after a few hundred rounds and runs most lighter loads after that - so the guns have to be worn in to smooth out in general to reliably run lighter loads. So keep that in mind and also when we chop there needs to be a way to keep gas pressure up.

My first VR80 SBS build. 8.5 inch barrel and with external Beretta-Benelli Mobil choke. External choke because the barrel thickness where the old gas ports were located. Got a bit thin for internal chokes so made an adapter for external chokes. This was a fun project, totally unknown territory for me. Nothing out there to compare or look at.
