David Andrew "Riki" Rachtman is an American television and radio personality. He is best known for his association with the late 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s hard rock and heavy metal scene, hosting MTV 's Headbangers Ball from 1990 to the show's cancellation in 1995, [ 1 ] [ 2 ] and he was the owner of the Hollywood -based nightclub The Cathouse.

There was a time when Riki Rachtman was the go-to source for heavy metal music. As host of MTV’s Headbangers Ball for a half decade beginning in 1990, he presented videos and conducted interviews with the top notables of the genre every Saturday night, talking to everyone from Mötley Crüe to Pantera and Aerosmith to Metallica.
