I need some help: My R1S has been at the service center for 5 weeks of the 2 months I’ve owned it. The first failure was 3 weeks into ownership for driver side rear half shaft (May 14 th) while on vacation (~1,100 miles on it), this left the car in limp mode but able to drive so we cut our vacation short and drove it to the service center.

In 2023, Rivian produced 57,232 EVs and delivered 50,122. In 2022, Rivian produced 24,337 EVs and delivered 20,332 — up from 1,015 in 2021. Rivian produces the R1T, R1S, EDV, and will be releasing the R2, R3, and R3X in the next few years.

However, since the Rivian weighs nearly 1800 lbs. more than the Model 3, it may not "feel" as fast when accelerating. The Model 3 Performance has about the same acceleration as the R1S.
