Rod founded and leads UIC’s TechVentures Program, which leads interdisciplinary teams of graduate students through the process of creating and launching high technology startups.

Rod Schrader has been Chairman and CEO of Komatsu North America since 2013, where he oversees the company’s large U.S. manufacturing footprint as well as product distribution for construction, forestry, mining and utility equipment, technology and services. Rod joined Komatsu in 1987 as a Product Manager for utility equipment.
