Those who have only seen the anime will be less familiar with the character, with Rody recently debuting in Episode 156 during the Final War Arc.

It's extremely rare for a movie original character to be a tolerable character, let alone surpass my feelings for the protagonist...yet Rody somehow managed what many other shonen movies have tried and failed to do with their side cast. Sure Melissa had a lot of screen time, but only after the first half of the movie she became a prominent character and even so the plot is more focused on the relationship of All Might and David than her.
