Covering three city blocks, the land was purchased in 1871 by J.M. Mumford for $2.48 at a tax sale and donated to the City in 1892.

Roosevelt Park continues to develop through a series of planned improvements to provide a safe and beautiful location for all to enjoy. The improvement project will consist of a new playground and an adult fitness course feature to occur in the SW area of the park.
