ROSC, hypotension and an ECG exigency - LITFL
2024年1月12日 · aka ECG Exigency 019. A 68 year-old woman collapsed at home, as witnessed by her son who commenced CPR. She was in ventricular fibrillation when the paramedics arrived, and reverted to sinus rhythm following defibrillation at the scene. She was intubated prehospital and transferred to your emergency department.
Part 9: Post–Cardiac Arrest Care | Circulation - AHA/ASA Journals
2010年11月2日 · Optimize cardiopulmonary function and vital organ perfusion. After out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, transport patient to an appropriate hospital with a comprehensive post–cardiac arrest treatment system of care that includes acute coronary interventions, neurological care, goal-directed critical care, and hypothermia.
Immediate Post-ROSC Management • LITFL • CCC Resuscitation
2020年11月3日 · A team-based approach to the management of the post-ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation) patient focuses on initiation of therapeutic hypothermia, treatment of the underlying cause with transfer to the cath lab where appropriate, and management of the post-cardiac arrest syndrome.
Interpretation of ECG after ROSC (Return of Spontaneous …
A standard 12-lead ECG should be recorded in all patients after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). The purpose of a 12-lead ECG is to detect ST-elevation myocardial infarction ( STEMI ). Stable patients with ROSC presenting with ST elevations should undergo urgent coronary angiography with the intent of performing PCI.
Care after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC)
A standard 12-lead ECG must be obtained in all patients after ROSC, with the purpose of identifying individuals with ST-segment elevation, or other ECG changes suggesting the presence of an acute epicardial occlusion.
Post-cardiac arrest syndrome • LITFL • CCC Differential Diagnosis
Post-cardiac arrest syndrome (aka post-resuscitation syndrome) occurs after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) following cardiorespiratory arrest and involves multiple systems. It reflects a state of whole-body ischaemia and subsequent reperfusion.
ROSC – Return of Spontaneous Circulation - ACLS Wiki
ROSC (or the return of spontaneous circulation) is the resumption of sustained perfusing cardiac activity associated with significant respiratory effort after cardiac arrest. Signs of ROSC include moving, coughing, or breathing, along with signs of a palpable pulse or …
cardiac interventions. • Emergent cardiac intervention: Early evaluation of 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG); consider hemodynamics for decision on cardiac intervention • TTM: If patient is not following commands, start TTM as soon as possible; begin at 32-36°C for 24 hours by using a cooling device with feedback loop
Post-resuscitation care - PMC
As soon as possible following ROSC, 12-lead electrocardiography (ECG) should be performed to diagnose ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), and an immediate coronary angiography arranged.
ECG 12-leads after ROSC: EMS research, protocols
2021年6月2日 · Patients who achieve ROSC after cardiac arrest are a wildly heterogeneous group with correspondingly variable courses of treatment. The 12-lead ECG is a vital tool in our EMS diagnostic...
