Artist statement - Roya Amigh
I am interested in discovering and exploring how simple materials can transform and metamorphose into stories. The simple materials I use create delicate, fragile, and vulnerable works, which I juxtapose with Persian miniature and literature.

The Abrasion – Art In Buildings by Time Equities
2016年9月3日 · Roya Amigh’s The Abrasion is an abstract representation of a survivor of assault, suspended in space by thread as a mass of paper and glue. Like the violence imposed upon the body of a survivor, Amigh agitates the surface of the paper with scissors to produce rough marks and create a sense of flesh.
