Registered Scientist (RSci) is a professional qualification in the United Kingdom that was introduced in 2012 as an extension to the Science Council's existing professional registers. [1] This register extends the framework to allow professional recognition for higher technical roles.

Registered Scientist (RSci) Registered Scientists can be found in a huge variety of scientific and higher technical roles. They apply their skills and knowledge whilst working autonomously and have the ability to resolve problems and identify, review and select appropriate techniques, procedures and methods.

The Registered Scientist (RSci) professional recognition award is open to members of the Royal Society of Biology who can also demonstrate the required professional competences and a commitment to CPD.

By getting an RSCI Label, the auditee demonstrates compliance with the RSCI Assessment Standard. To achieve an RSCI label, auditees will undergo the regular assessment process. After successfully passing the assessment, a report will be issued, and a label is awarded. The following two labels can be achieved:
