The RSLC is designed to provide instruction to students through resident instruction at Fort Benning, Georgia. Located on Camp Cornett at Fort Benning's Harmony Church cantonment area, the RSLC PoI is tailored to train and test the fundamentals of reconnaissance operations for Soldiers and leaders assigned to reconnaissance teams and squads.

2020年9月15日 · RSLC was developed for LRRS and SOF units who needed specialized training in long range dismounted surveillance. It's not that SLC is a weenie version, just a different mission set. I do know that SLC is meant to train recon leaders in the regular Army, which is why it's part of the 19D professional development track while RSLC isn't.

2009年3月17日 · RSLC, led by the Ranger Training Brigade, is a 26-day course teaching skills such as observation and reporting, in-depth planning, surveillance site construction, and use of radio and cameras.

RSLC teaches the skill or the “science” of gathering and reporting intelligence. The target audience of RSLC is at the squad and team level with an emphasis on dismounted reconnaissance and surveillance. Although the majority of students are E-4 through E-6, senior NCOs and officers are encouraged to attend and will no doubt be challenged.
