It also has a slight hesitation on rpm's around 1500, most evident when you're uphill and you slowed down then step on the gas again. I'll have a leak test done to see if they can find a leak. Customer: P145C and P0497 are coming back regularly, dealer says evap valve sticking. I have tried a couple bottles of fuel cleaner but still throwing the codes. Valve replacement is $500+ for an elective repair.

The Catalyst and EVAP monitors are not going through with a pending P0497 EVAP low flow code. The vehicle has been driven quite a few miles. Fuel trims are looking okay, MAF seems to be good, and I couldn’t blow air through the evap valve. I sprayed quick bursts of brake fluid around the manifold but no idle changing.

There could be a few things going on. To start, I would check, sinceDTC P0497 and P145C are stored at the same time, or a poor connection, a blockage, or damage at the EVAP canister purge line between the EVAP canister purge valve and the EVAP canister. Also check for a stuck closed EVAP canister purge valve.

The P0497 and P145C are both related and point to a problem with EVAP Canister Purge Valve. The purge valve is located under the hood, mounted to the top of the engine (see image below). Carefully inspect the two vacuum lines to the valve for any cracks, holes or disconnections.
