Metro-Cammell-bodied RTL554 has been beautifully preserved in early livery. I came across it on a day-trip from York, at Newby Hall, in July 2004. Body: Park Royal or Weymann, type RT8: 56 seats (26 + 30), metal frames, 4 bays.

It has been in preservation since the early 1970s and is seen here passing the Holy Trinity Church, Bromley Common. It appears to be running empty, but may have been the 12.27 route 61 trip from Bromley North to Chislehurst running very late.
