2017年1月29日 · The MK III is a great pistol, but the MK IV did away with the loaded chamber indicator, which I for one did not like, as well as the super easy takedown. You can put a Majestic Arms Speed Strip kit in a MK III for about $50 or $60 bucks though.

2011年8月17日 · Bumping this 7+ year old thread to see if anything has changed with regards to best triggers for a Ruger MK-III used for Bullseye shooting. I have a VQ and a Tandemkross trigger in a pair of MK-IV pistols for steel challenge. Unless there is something out there I’m not aware of I’ll probably go with a VQ for the MK3.

2007年8月15日 · Hopefully this is useful for someone here. I found the instruction manual supplied by Ruger to be a real PITA to read while trying to put my 22/45 Hunter back to together. So, I reformatted them to be more step by step and readable for me. In most cases, the words are from Ruger but in a few places, I reworded for clarity.

2010年12月17日 · So you've obtained a 22/45 Mk III grip frame, even though both the 22/45 Mk II and 22/45 Mk III grip frames are marked "part must be factory-fitted"? I thought that meant Ruger wouldn't sell you a spare. In this case, Ruger allegedly tunes the barrel/receiver to fit the frame's forward hook, so the comment is legit.

2007年1月31日 · I think the MK-III is a much better pistol than the MK-II. Just the fact that the mag release is in the right spot behind the trigger guard rather than at the bottom should be reason enough. I don't know why anyone would consider a MKII over a MKIII today. I've put thousands of rounds thru mine with no issues at all.

2010年1月13日 · Originally this Ruger MK III 22/45 was a Model P512MKIII that I traded an old hunting rifle for. The guy I traded with said he had only shot two magazines out of it. After the trade I took it to the range and it shot great with bulk .22 ammo at the 25 meter range. I sent it off to Tornado Technologies in Oregon for the barrel threading and
