The only real problem with X470 or B450 motherboards is that they do not support the new Ryzen 3000 series CPUs without a bios update which means you need one that either supports USB bios flashing w/o a CPU installed, use a Ryzen 1000/2000 series CPU to update the bios, or pay a store to do it for you.

Leaving off details about security mitigations that every user should and will be running is extremely bad though. I respect the site, there's a reason I still read their reviews.

2020年1月24日 · On Ryzen 2000 series the EDC was the same magic word to use higher all core boosts too, but in 3000 series it has had a 0 effect no matter what the value was set on to (like ~160 would allow 2700X to boost 4.25 all core for example).

For example, the Cut for 300 series Boards, because "Bios Chip too small", PCIe4.0 on 300 and 400 series Boards, and the "new manufacturing process from the 3000 XT series, which has fundamental other transistors than the normal 3000 CPUs", which we also know, was a lie.
