2023年12月11日 · Lennox S40 Scheduling I recently had an entire new HVAC system installed included a heat pump, back up furnace, and new Lennox 40 thermostats. These thermostats cost ~$1500 so I figured a function as basic as setting a schedule would work without any issues.

2023年7月27日 · The S40 gets rid of the hub, which is part of the comm issues. As long as the installers followed Lennox installation manual, you shouldn't have any major problems. Such as: all unused control wires are hooked up to C, avoiding float switches wired directly to control, avoiding running unshielded line voltage with control wiring.

2024年3月30日 · If I don't take care of this within the 12 months full warranty (service+parts) I'm gonna end up paying a lot for this later. But there's also a chance that the S40 is just too sensitive (or a crappy product, as some of you have mentioned) and this is just par for the course. What are your opinions on this?

2023年12月11日 · Does any one know if you can change the temperature at which a Lennox s40 thermostat will alert you? I have an older thermostat and it will notify me if my house drops below 40°, I was wondering if the newer s40 has customisable limits where I could set the thermostat to alert me if the house dropped below a certain temperature other than just 40°?

2023年10月22日 · Background: I had gotten a new car at the start of pandemic and had my S40 as my primary driver. Then over time, my new vehicle became my primary and slowly over time the S40 just wasn't driven or even turned on the last year and a half. It was covered throughout this time but it was outdoors. For reference, I live in the northeast.

Mechanically they are one of the most reliable Volvos especially the S40 with the 1.9 N/A engine. I’ve had friends with these and they are rock solid, they seem to have worse rust protection though. The S40 is also a lot more reliable than the V40, they were built in different locations.
