The P500 is the Professional series equivalent of the A1001 amp, putting out 500 watts into 8 ohms. Looking at the photo below, you will note that the amp is being driven to its full rated capacity . Also note how clean the wave form is on the oscilloscope.

2022年9月21日 · Now working on the balanced input boards. Replaced almost all parts on them. Just need to replace one XLR jack and will be ready to finish installing into the two P500’s. Lot of trace issues that I had to fix. When finally done will tun as mono amps into the Polk SDA SRS 1.2TL’s that have been updated. Back together with relocated resistors.

2022年9月9日 · I picked up this SAE P500 this afternoon with some other gear for a more than reasonable price in “I bought it at an auction untested and never plugged it in” condition. It looks like all the balanced inputs were removed and someone found a very sketchy way to hardwire it?

2009年7月19日 · Really nice amps. I have two of the Pro version (P500) and two of the consumer version (A1001) and have found them to be robust, reliable, and able to drive anything. Just watch out you don't herniate yourself moving them. David
