2010年3月1日 · Your sequential read/write speeds will be capped by sata 1 speeds (so about 130 -140MB/s) but you'll still get full benefit of random read/write speeds and low latency of the ssd. I'd still get the ssd, it should be a night and day difference compared to the slow 2.5" laptop hdds.

2022年9月28日 · I own a Precision 7520, came with a 500GB M.2 SSD and I added a Samsung SSD to the HD bay. Looking in the BIOS under System Configuration>Drives the Samsung is on SATA-3, the M.2 is listed as M.2 PCIe SSD-0. And checked by default is SATA-0 & SATA-1. They are not mentioned in the Owners Manual.

2002年3月18日 · Now the through put of SATA 1,2,3 is higher, and bursts of data that are in the drives cache can move quicker for that 1 second, it's just going to backup waiting for the drive to spin somemore to get the data. With SSD's the newer SATA protocols will become more important as solid state memory is going to be faster than spinning media.

2013年3月26日 · In GParted (partition editor), I deleted all the partitions on the HDD, created a new partition table and created one large partition taking up the entire HDD. If I have the SSD on SATA-0, nothing on SATA-1 and a couple of DVD drives on SATA-2 and SATA-3, system boots fine. If I add the blanked HDD on SATA-1, the system doesn't boot.
