Then in my usual obsessive lore devouring I found out about Tophet a week or so later. Needless to say there are a few that hit close to home for me, but I suspect that is true of everyone.

Iirc there is an SCP that will always fail to do anything you ask of it. That means it will always succeed at doing the opposite of what you tell it to do. It was told to not kill 682, and it almost did, until 682 said "Go ahead, kill me."
