2019年4月20日 · SCP 173 for me represents a greater role than just the seed of the tree we enjoy and cultivate today; it set precedent for the key components of what makes an effective horror in this collaborative fiction. Of course, all of this is subjective and just how I see things, but I figured it would be an interesting discussion to have otherwise.

2022年5月27日 · The image of SCP-173 however belongs to the artist who made the statue, and so doesn't fall under Creative Commons. Because of that, when other projects use 173, they have to redesign it, because they aren't actually allowed to use the statue's likeness.

This is to allow everyone to envision SCP-173 for themselves, instead of there being a singular, definitive, official "SCP-173". Although the status of adding a replacement will be voted upon as well, it is likely that SCP-173 will remain without an image.

As for dates: One imagines there was a promo for "Blink" after the June 2nd Dr. Who episode ("Family of Blood") that would've given away enough of the concept to inspire SCP-173.
