2010年8月1日 · I'll second the synthetic recommendation. I use Amsoil marine gear lube that they claim can tolerate 10% water. Whether that is true or not, it makes me feel better. and SAE 80W90 or 90 degree lubrication oil for the saildrive.

The SD20 requires that it be removed from the water in order to completely drain the oil. The manual recommends the oil be changed every 100 hours or once a year. This is suggesting that the boat be hauled every 100 hours of engine operation!

2003年1月24日 · Just bought a new boat with Yanmar 2GM20FC plus SD20 saildrive. Going down to the boat this weekend to change the oil/oil filter etc after the first month of use. Have read the supplied manuals and it seems to change the saildrive oil one has to pump it out and pump it in with special equipment.

2015年6月21日 · The recommended gear oil in the manual for my SD20 is SAE90 or SAE80/90 multi grade. Check your handbook. The multi grade is available at Halfords.
