The Sun Devil Fitness Complex (SDFC) PROHIBITS the practice of hyperventilating and extended breath holding activities in ALL SDFC Aquatic Facilities. What are examples of extended breath holding activities? This is not an exhaustive list, Aquatics Management and lifeguards have the right to enforce this policy for any activity deemed unsafe.

Opened in 2013, the Sun Devil Fitness Complex West features an intramural field, a weight and fitness area, group fitness classes, racquetball courts, a swimming pool, a running track, exterior exercise terraces and a fun gaming space.

ASU West’s SDFC was sited and designed to create a new quad and green space as formed by the fitness complex on the south, newly-constructed housing to the west, and dining on the north. It joined the academic anchor to the east.
