The Lumberjack Marching Band is a spirited organization that consists of 300+ members who represent nearly every area of study on campus. Interested in joining? and all nonmusic-major wind players.

Founded in 1926, SFA's bands consist of six ensembles and over four hundred students, offering numerous performance opportunities while fostering growth of our Lumberjack musicians. Members of SFA's bands also participate in several other of the performance ensembles within the School of Music.

The Lumberjack Marching Band rocked the Alamo Dome as the invited exhibition band for this year’s UIL 3A State Marching Contest in San Antonio. Their performance was epic and truly showcased SFA spirit.

To get in the game free for LMB/TOJ members, you must be at the Ag Pond by 5:15 PM. You will walk in with the LMB after the Ag Pond performance concludes. There will be no exceptions. All non-SFA instruments will need to be carried into the stadium at this time. LMB/TOJ reunion attendees will receive a FREE entrance to the game with registration.

Members of the LMB travel regularly. While this is often to football games or performing as an exhibition band at high school competitions throughout the state, additional opportunities to travel are found nationally and internationally.

The LMB performs Billy Jean, Beat It, and PYT
