Visitors can educate themselves on the history and evolution of the various fire department badges and other insignia. The San Francisco Fire Department Museum is located at 655 Presidio Avenue. The museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are both welcomed and encouraged.
