The Sm5 electric multiple unit (EMU) is a low-floor train used on the Helsinki commuter rail network. Unlike other train types on the network, the Sm5 units are owned by Pääkaupunkiseudun Junakalusto Oy, a subsidiary of the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen.

VR Ltd will operate the new Sm5 trains like the other commuter trains. Stadler’s FLIRT train has been adapted for the Finnish conditions by making the necessary modifications, e.g. the car body has been adjusted to the Finnish vehicle gauge and the bogie to the Finnish track gauge.

The Sm3 class Pendolino is the VR's "flagship", mainly connecting largest cities to the capital with top running speed up to 220 km/h. The Sm5 FLIRT is an Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) introduced to Finnish Railway on January 5th, 2025. Available as a gamepass for 289 Robux, it is the second low-floor train in the game, following the Sm4.

2020年10月14日 · The SM5 is used on Helsinki area commuter rail network, which is a bit similar to German S-Bahn. It is a member of stadler FLIRT family. Maximum speed is 160 km/h, but these lines that they are running are limited to 120 km/h.
