The RIM-174 Standard Extended Range Active Missile (ERAM), or Standard Missile 6 (SM-6), is a missile in current production for the United States Navy (USN).

The RIM-174/SM-6 (Standard ERAM) long-range anti-aircraft guided missile is used as an anti-aircraft defense against cruise missiles, aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles, day and night in all weather conditions. RIM-174/SM-6 ERAM (Extended Range Active Missile) is a development of the family of missiles RIM-156 SM-2ER.

The Standard Missile-6 (SM-6)—also known as the RIM-174—retains the SM-2 airframe and propulsion elements and incorporates the advanced signal processing and guidance control capabilities of the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM).
