I bought a Beta98 and an ATM35 to build an acoustic guitar mic rig for a client and we both preferred the ATM35 to the Beta98 BY FAR. The Beta98 sounded severely equalized and quite unlike the guitar. The ATM35 was much more neutral sounding, and more true to the source.

These are the older SM98 models, not the Beta 98 models. These sound much better than the beta's. I've used them on toms and bass drum with much success. They come with mic capsules, ~20ft cables, the pre amps, drum rim clamps and gooseneck mic clips. Note that the goosenecks are from the beta series, but the mics and pre's are vintage SM98.
