SMG-60. Manufacturer: Tippmann Year: 1987. The Tippmann SMG-60 was the first Semi, and Full Auto gun to market. This was also the first gun to have built in constant air. Coupled with a very unique feed system, and .62 caliber paintballs that fired an amazing 600 rpm, this was the most feared paintball gun in the day.

The SMG-68 is a .68 caliber version of the SMG-60, configured for semi-automatic operation, and featuring a removable barrel. Tippmann offered a trade-in for SMG-68's to be converted into 68 Specials, by adding a front bolt and external linkage arm.

The SMG 60 was Tippmanns first marker produced and was the first Full Auto marker. Modeled on the appearance of the British STEN of World War II. Equipped with a fixed steel barrel. It uses three, 5 round clips that load into a feed arm, or extended clip that held four 5 round clips.

Here we see the Tippmann SMG-60/68. This gun was first created in 1986, on sort of challenge to Dennis Tippmann. People told him he couldn't create a fully automatic paintgun, but he proved them wrong. The SMG also holds the distinction of being one of the first semi auto paintguns, along with Camille, the Palmer's Hurricane.

2006年12月4日 · The SMG-68 is rare since Tippmann offered a conversion to make it a 68-Special, and most owners took them on the offer. A bunch of 68-Specs, and SMG-60s were just on Ebay. For the newbs on PBN: The SMG-60 was a full/auto, magazine fed, .62 paintgun from the 1980s. The SMG-68 was a semi/auto, magazine fed, .68 paintgun from late 80s.

That is the 60 caliber version correct? the smg-68 came after that one and shot 68 caliber paint and didnt come full auto (although it could be modded to). I wish i had one. That is most excellent.
