It is powered by the 46.1 kWh LFP battery pack, suitable for a 470 km range under CLTC conditions. The more powerful Seal 08 has a BYD-made TZ200XSBE e-motor for 160 kW (215 hp).

2025年2月27日 · BYD has applied for approval in China for a new electric sedan called Seal 08, the sister model of the BYD Qin L EV. The EV is expected to debut later this year at a base price of less than 150,000 yuan (approx. 20,000 euros).

The latest model is dubbed the BYD Seal 08 and it appears to be a more affordable BYD Seal sedan that was sighted in regulatory approval documents run by the ministry of industry and information technology (MIIT), and shared by CNC.

2024年8月8日 · BYD has launched the 2025 Seal electric sedan, featuring cutting-edge SiC ((Silicon Carbide) technology and an 800V high-voltage platform. The sedan now includes a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof, a first for BYD sedans, which enhances its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions.
