Apr 16, 2020 · SP7 - throttling on USB-C charger I have problem with performance of my SP7 (i5, 16GB ram, 256GB ssd) while connected to USB-C monitor. The case is - after some time of heavy load, CPU throttling kicks in (which is totally understandable with that kind of computer and passive cooling), and the CPU clock locks somewhere around 900MHz.

Feb 17, 2023 · I just went through the most recent Win11 update (see screen captures), and not my SP7+ is lagging TERRIBLY. Low processor, memory, and SSD usage. Processor is running at 0.19GHz. Yes, ZERO POINT ONE-NINE. Everything is taking 10 times as long as normal, and my battery is draining while plugged in. Something is very, very wrong here.

Mar 11, 2021 · Hi, Ive had my SP7 for just about a year now and the the battery appears to have weakened greatly. Im lucky to get 3 hours out of it now on a full charge. Is this common? Does the extended warranty

Jan 3, 2020 · Thanks for your prompt reply. Seems I need to carry around 'another' bulk USB C charger. I was hoping with the SP7 poor battery life, my mobile phone battery charger would be helpful for quick top ups. It appears I will have to just carry around the SP7 charger and a USB C cable for my phone (sigh).

Feb 11, 2024 · Same issue. I loved that my sp7 would play wow. Now it just freezes every time i boot it up and have to do a hard shutdown to get out. Very disappointed in this machine. How did it go from running games smoothly to not even being able to load them.

Feb 8, 2020 · Usually restart the SP7 will temporary solve it until it happens again. Today after the system update and boot into windows login screen, the screen is blank again after keying in the pins. Restart the SP7 doesn't help this time, Shutdown at the login screen and press power button to start again also won't work, at windows login screen after ...
