The SS 1 came in October 1931 as a two-door coupe on the market, with vinyl-covered roof and storm bars (linkage for tensioning to the top) on the sides, which gave the impression of a convertible. This had a six-cylinder in-line engine with 2054 cc displacement and 45 bhp (16 HP) or 2552 cc displacement with approximately 55 bhp (20 HP).
