Oshan Laboratory is a unique underwater-themed map in Goonstation's current lineup of stations. Unlike most maps, which tend to be designed and created by one person, Oshan was a joint venture between Goonstation coders ZeWaka, MBC, and Flourish, with help coming from all sorts of players of all sorts of ranks over several months.

Oshan Lab 's station z-level in particular contains many of the same things you'd find in the Debris Field, including the Martian derelict, the NPC Flockmind merchant, a special underwater-themed version of the Space Diner, and many locations unique to Oshan.

Getting a new map added or an old map removed is entirely on you or your playerbase to request. All current codebases will automatically update any time a map edit on a specific codebase is made. These servers have been granted fancy status.

The Geothermal Engine is the main source of power on Oshan Laboratory. It generates power by tapping into the natural heat of tectonic hotspots on the ocean floor.
