2021年10月20日 · Future Trunks and Vegeta shown a ssj2 stronger than goku's ssj3. The terms SSJ1 and SSJ2 are technically unofficial since they were only coined by Goku in-universe. It’s possible that that form doesn’t actually exist. Would you say anyone has mastered ssj2 in the dbz series? (Not including super)

Real answer: the plot needed the future to be doomed and toriyama hadn’t thought of ssj2 yet when he wrote trunks coming back in time. Bad writing with gohan fighting the Androids for years he would should have gotten a zenkai more than evolution to beat the androids.
