2012年4月6日 · The 69's and SSL-1's use different wire so there is a tonal difference in that but the SSL-1 will also have a touch more output than a CS 69. If you are looking for that Blackmore Strat tone it's gonna be hard to beat the CS 69's!

2014年8月18日 · Use the RW/RP Fat 50s in the middle, 69 neck, and SSL-5 in the bridge. Reverse the wires for the SSL-5 (black hot, white ground). You'll get hum cancel in position 4, slight cancelation in position 2.

2020年7月26日 · The SSL-1 is probably the brightest vintage single coil that SD makes, as it is designed to replicate the sound of late 50s Fender pickups that are really bright. Other pickups, like the Antiquity Surfer or the Five Two are still vintage-y, but not as bright.

SSL-1 is probably the fattest sounding of the three models. CS69 are probably the cleanest and brightest. The SSL-1 set will probably balance best with your SSL-5.

2016年9月25日 · Both the CS 69 and SSL-1 have Q factors or 1.82 with the dummy load. The resonant frequency will move depending on the length of the guitar cable, but the higher inductance of the SSL-1 means they should be a bit louder in any event.

2017年3月8日 · Anyone familiar with mixing and matching 60s era Fender Strat pups and Seymour Duncans? I would like to re-wire a Strat with 2 Fender Custom Shop 69s in the neck and middle position and a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the bridge (think Gilmour). If I order the RWRP SSL-5 will it be in phase and hum canceling mixed with the 69s?
