2018年11月13日 · When is this tool supposed to be used please. I have watched a number of "70 front end-rebuilds" on u tube and never seen any kind of centering. Are they just winging it and hoping that the new bearing is close enough to the old one size wise. Their most sofisticated tool seems to be a small levered torque wrench or a fish scale for the pre load.

2019年5月23日 · fsm shows using this tool to support the bearings while tapping the bearing caps in place. I haven't heard much discussion about using this tool. What about making a tool from a large bolt and nut? What about putting the bearing caps in the freezer to get them a little smaller?

2015年5月24日 · I own that SST. Bought it new around 1992 when I started rebuilding transmissions inhouse. While it is the correct tool for the job, that rear bearing is SO hard to budge, it tests the limits of the puller and has actually damaged the arms. I have supplemented the puller with homemade parts to try and help it, but it’s still a biatch.

2015年1月11日 · Unfortunately the Chassis and Body FSM I have is for models 3 years after mine (1994 instead of 1991) so I don't know what tool number is appropriate. What would the appropriate SST model number be for a 1991 PZJ77-MNS ? If any of you have a similar centering tool I would be curious to know what the OD of the shoulder bushing is.
