2019年8月16日 · Building: An st170 powered mk indy. The vvt pulley is sprung so should return to its home position when not running. Getting the bolt up to torque with out the centre of the pulley turning on the cam. You can’t use the timing bar to hold the cams as you will take a chunk out of the end of the cam and the centre will still rotate on the cam.

For some time I aspired to getting the VVT function working and this year bought a VVTPro and refitted the VVT cam mechanism. It comes loaded with a 2D map table (cam timing right even more of the time). It advertises the facility of a 3D map factoring in load from TPS.
