The ethanol is derived from corn which earns it the nick name "corn fuel." Because this fuel is comprised of mostly alcohol it has a great effect on performance (more on that in post 3).

2017年5月26日 · I have a 17 STI in So Cal, so we have 91 octane premium fuel. I'm curious about converting to E85/flex fuel setup. I know one pro is more hp. And a con is worse mpg. What are the long term effects of converting to flex fuel/E85 setup? Will this damage my engine in the long run? Can I just buy a flex fuel setup from Cobb, install it and be done?

2021年11月11日 · I installed everything myself needed for e85. Injectors,pump,regulator,ebcs, and flex fuel kit. I got a base map and everything started up fine. Damn was at 1 and everything seemed ok. The thing is i had to take out the fuel pressure sensor because i didnt realize it needed an AN fitting to go on.

2015年6月17日 · Just bought a Cobb 20g for my 05 STI. It will be tuned on 91 pump gas and E85, which is what my car is running now with a turbo that shit the bed last night. Not naming names, but I definitely should have gone with a more established and affordable company. Turbo only lasted 4 months on a ridiculously conservative tune (370hp/375tq on E85 @ 20psi).

2011年1月19日 · On my STi, I have ID1000's, Walbro 450, and my base pressure set at 50 PSI on a 20G @ 23PSI and my road dyno showed 430 whp. My IDC's are in the mid 80's, however, Subaru does not count 100% as static, so in those terms, I am much lower than the mid 80's. I do have stock STi injector on my S2000 running E85. I think I am in the 60's for IDC, IIRC.
