An OPUS card is a smart card on which you can charge all STM transit fares, with the exception of group fares, which are available on tickets only. OPUS cards are used by most transit authorities in the Greater Montréal area, and in the Québec City area.

Register your OPUS card. A registered OPUS card is your guarantee against loss or theft. Your card and any valid fares remaining on it when you report the loss or theft will be replaced*. It is not possible to recoup fares from an unregistered card. This guarantee does not apply to an OPUS card that has been expired for more than six months.
