2016年9月8日 · Due to the obstacles in the yard I have an SXT 5 ac (RBSXTG-5HPacD) located at the house where the internet is located. It has a line of site to the garage where I have an SXT SA5 ac (RBSXTG-5HPacD-SA) mounted. Then there is another line of site to the fuel pumps where I have a SXT Lite5 (RBSXT-5nDr2) which connects to the camera at the fuel pumps.

2011年2月18日 · I've set-up a SXT SA5 as a client AP and it is working well. 5Ghz n and ac clients are working fine. Currently the furthermost line of sight is about 120m. However, it's penetrating 10 meters into apartments 50m away. Maybe another 20m as you go over the hill too.

This is my first Mikrotik environment so still getting used to it. I have a two receivers (SXT 5HPnD r2) and one sender (SXT SA5). One of the receivers is communicating perfectly with the sender and makes a good strong connection. However, with the same settings on the next receiver, I struggle to make a connection.

2017年5月7日 · The Radiation pattern of the SXT-SA5 is more wide and less tall than the radiation pattern of the SXT-5. Thus the rotation by 90° will make the beamwidth more narrow in the horizontal direction, which in reward will catch up less noise. If there are concerns about water due to turning the device, I am sure these are easily circumvented...

2006年7月13日 · One of our SXT SA5 units, when connected to a PoE "returns" voltage to data lines. Orange/whiteorange are +12v (of course if I use 12v DC PoE) and greens are ground/zero. There is no corrosion and no visible components damaged and it's Working great! It was working like that for, probably, 2 years, connected to another Mikrotik (some RB) ...

2017年9月27日 · In the Mikrotik datasheet for the SA5 it states the antenna is a 90 degree vertical and horizontal polarity antenna, but there is no information regarding the Electrical Beamwidth. I would like to know the angle the SXT SA5 covers vertically or the "electrical beamwitdh".

2017年9月27日 · If I use SXT SA5 AC as an indoor access point, will it be appropriate? (reduce power usage) I think its directional antennas can reduce interference, Better delineation of each AP range. Are there any inappropriate places for outdoor AP to be used indoors? Or is WAP AC more appropriate? (there are lots of guests playing games in the coffee room.

2020年6月18日 · A week after deploying the LHG in a point to point connection, I had to revert back to the High gain SXT because I get better signal quality compared to the LHG. I also tried connecting the LHG to an RF Elements Symmetric antenna. (40 degrees) to replace another SXT HG, again the result wasn't good in a crowded environment.
