Antimicrobial resistance is a serious global threat to human health, water quality, food safety and security, and agriculture productivity. AMR could also undo decades of medical progress. It is estimated that bacterial AMR was directly responsible for 1.27 million global deaths in 2019. AMR also has significant economic costs.
2024年5月28日 · SAAFE’s Analytics Program, led by Prof. Ricardo Soares Magalhães, focuses on secure data integration across agriculture, food and water value chains to mitigate AMR risks to businesses and consumers, and provide industry-specific AMR intelligence allowing better decision-making in food production, processing and regulation.
